The fire department was established in 1970,     coverage area is 50 square miles with around
  800 homes with one industrial park. The fire department has 16 volunteers with 5 EMT's we respond to Fires, Rescues, Haz-Mats, Search &
    Rescue and Medical Emergency's. We give mutual aid to our
    surrounding departments. Kellyton Fire & Rescue has an
    ISO 5/9 rating.

   We operate out of one station with living quarters and classroom.
   Our station has 5 bays.
